Prom Part l

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting a lot lately.  I had a hectic term. I've been spending most of my time studying in my sweatpants. But Amidst all the studying, there was one thing that was on my mind- prom, or in other words, my matric dance.

For the next three weeks, I'll be having a matric dance three part series. This was what I wore to my dance which happened on the 18 September. I loved the shoes. The silvery-gold detail paired with the black nail polish, done by Sorbet, complemented the dress perfectly.

The handbag was beautiful too. As you can see, I kept it simple with a black and silver clutch. My makeup artist outdid herself. I loved the sharp features, structured eyebrows and natural but edgy look. If you are ever looking for someone to do your makeup for any occasion, the ladies at mac are extremely talented and I highly recommend their expertise.

Now for the dress, I absolutely love this colour because it is so unique. I wanted to take a risk by incorporating mesh into a high neck line and I'm very happy with how the dress turned out. It fitted all th right places and the slit ended at just the right height. the texture of the dress is beautiful too and fits so comfortably on the body.

The back of the dress is also so stunning. The zip detail going down the back of the dress makes it a little edgy (and a lot easier to fit into). I just love how the whole look came together. I came up with the design myself and my designer did such an amazing job. If you live in South Africa, specifically the Johannesburg area, I would highly recommend that you check out Dream Fabrics and Gowns on Facebook if you need a designer for a formal occasion like a wedding or matric dance/prom. Cindy-Anne is extremely talented.
